Haiti Lumiere de Demain (HLD) is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization founded in 1998 by Louis Elneus. HLD’s mission is to promote literacy in primary and secondary schools in Haiti. To enrich the infrastructure of this devastated country, HLD’s environmental arm purchases and plants trees to protect against mudslides. Through HLD’s efforts, the children of Haiti are receiving not just books and education, but hope for a better future.

Sunday, October 4, Concert for Families in support of Childhood Literacy
The Levitt Pavilion, Westport, CT. 3-6 PM (Behind the Westport Library)
ROWAYTON, CT - (September 2009) - Can school and cool be used in the same sentence??? It can when you have a cool line-up like Mystic Bowie, Kicking Daisies, Dre Towey with Sugar On Top, Jazzworx Dance, Infinite Roots, and “MTV’s Magic Kevin Nicholas”, performing to support a cool cause like childhood literacy on Sunday, October 4th at the very cool Levitt Pavilion of Westport behind the Westport Library (www.BackToCool.org).
