Mr. Elneus was born in Haiti, on the Island of LaGonave. Mr. Elneus has lived in Lyon, France, Nova Scotia, Canada and now the United States, where he has lived for the past 11 years. He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science at Sacred Heart University, in Fairfield, CT. He is currently pursuing a second master's in Teaching, at Sacred Heart University.
For the past five years, he has served as president of Haiti Lumiere de Demain, Inc. A nonprofit, non-governmental educational organization, he founded to promote literacy among the children of Haiti. Mr. Elneus is committed to promoting literacy among the children of Haiti.
Prior to forming this organization, he worked with numerous international organizations, including the International Peace Academy in NY, the Lester B. Pearson Canadian Peacekeeping Training (Canada), and the United Nations Association in NY. Mr. Elneus also worked as a consultant to foreign companies that wanted to enter the US market.
He is also very involved in the Haitian Community here in Connecticut and he is a co-founder of the Haitian American Professionals Association of Connecticut (HAPAC). HAPAC is an organization that is committed to help Haitian professionals integrate into the American professional life.
Aside from his professional endeavors, Mr. Elneus coaches the men's soccer team at Sacred Heart University and youth teams throughout Fairfield County. He is also a volunteer-tutor in the Bridgeport Public School System.
